How long should a nap be for a 3 month old?

Every baby is different. My 3 month old eats every 4 hours (4 1/2 ounces). She is in the 34th percentile for her weight. She will take naps that are about 2-3 hours then will stay awake for an hour or two. The doctor, at her last visit, said babies her age can sleep approx 18 hours a day. Yours may be a little fussy due to his teeth starting to come in. Mine is already teething (well, at the very early stages). For some more information that is helpful, go to www.whattoexpect.com. Check out the symptoms for teething.
