Anyone who is German or part German who's grandfather fought in the German Army please answer?
History like World War 2 stuff really interests me. So if your grandfather fought in the German Army during World War 2, what did he say about the war? What were his opinions of it? I hear so many interviews from American Veterans talking about how they kicked the German's a-s-s-e-s, and even though I believe that Nazisim is wrong, I respect those German soldiers who fought so valiantly. Whether it be from being drafted, volunteering, or anything else, fighting for what they fought for is enough to earn them respect for me. Just let me know what they have told you about the war, what they did in the war, what company or regiment they were in and any interesting facts. I would greatly appreciate it. And for those reading this who disagree, just remember: Nazism is wrong, but there people too, just like our troops! I commend their valiant fighting over Hitler's cause!!!
