Does anyone agree that the USA needs to stop saying it is the greatest country in the world?

I say that because its self deluding and rooted in the achievements of the past - but the world moves on. Resting on the statement 'but we are still the best country in the world' only stops people from looking at how the world has changed. They feel they can rest on their achievements but while America plays the rest of the world works - and little by little the status quo changes. Americans have shown their quality many times, but I think they need a jolt of reality to get them competing with the world rather than complacently and wrongly uming everlasting superiority. What do others think?
