Should I contact her?

Today I called up my girlfriend and was my usual cheerful self asking how her day went, what she was up to. And she was VERY distant, every question I asked the answer was either "I don't know." or "Whatever". I let her know I was getting irritated. (Of all times I lost connection in a no reception area.) She texts me back and goes "Don't message me, don't email me." I text back "Whoaa, what are you talking about? Lets talk when I get home." she responds "LEAVE ME ALONE". I was at my grandfathers at the time and he told me amid all my temptations to contact her he said "Just leave her. She doesn't deserve the attention." I tell him I'd really like to know what's going on. I'm taking the advice so far though. He knows she doesn't communicate well.
