My 8 Month Old?

I have an 8 month old son who has been a pretty good baby up until now. And it seems like he's only doing it when I'm around. When his dad is with him and takes care of him while I'm at work, he is the happiest of babies. When I'm home with him, the only time he's been quiet is when I'm feeding him or when he's asleep. If I'm home with him, he will cry until I pick him up. He won't let me put him in his bouncer, swing, on the floor...anywhere. He just wants me to constantly hold him. I love my son and would do anything to make him happy but there is only so much I can do for him. Even after I've been holding him for awhile, he will start to cry. I don't understand why he's doing this. It sounds like colic but he never had that and he's wayyy past that stage anyways so that's not what it is. If anyone can give me tips or advice for how to deal with this, I would greatly appreciate it. Anyone else out there ever go through this?
